

A great way to upcycle litter is to take that trash and turn it into a treasure. A little creativity can go a long way and be a good way to reuse those things we find so often on the beach such as plastic bottles, caps, plastic cups, straws and other items. See some of the fun stuff you can make while making a difference.

These flowers were made from plastic waters bottles, straws and plastic cups and lids that would otherwise be thrown in the recycling bin.

The following glass mosaics were made from scrap glass and picture frame glass 
UNDER THE SEA
This was made with found litter from the beach. Plastic caps and lids make up the water, boarder, turtles, crab, and snail head. Ropes were used as seaweed, and a plastic bag for the jellyfish. The snail body was a found piece of plastic and not sure what it was. Even the crabs eyes and legs are bits of plastic from caps.
TURTLE FUN
THESE TURTLES WERE MADE FROM THE RECYCLABLE PLASTICS ON THE RIGHT. SAND AND SHELLS PROVIDED BY NATURE.
PICTURE FRAMES
To reface an existing picture frame that may have lost its luster use bright and colorful magazine,news papers or even wrapping paper. Roll the papers to and cut to size. Use a little bit of glue and you can create a whole new look. It's a great way to make holiday themed frames.
HOLIDAY DECORATIONS
Lids, caps, fishing line, glass jars and other plastic items such as bottles can be made into festive holiday decorations or ornaments for the holidays. Upcycle your items that were going to be trashed or things you may find while doing a cleanup and put your creative spin on it.
This snowman was made with a lid for the body, caps for the buttons,hat & head. Twist ties used for arms, the scarf made from a plastic lid and mono-filament used to hang this snowman. Painted, glittered and embellished and no one would be non the wiser that the majority of this was made from litter.
ORNAMENTS
Allthe following ornaments were made with littered materials such as plastic bottles and cups, caps. mono-filament and other items. With a little creativity and some craft supplies you can decorate your tree in a festive way by upcycling the litter.

HOLIDAY FLOWERS AND VASE
These holiday flowers were made from straws, plastic bottles, plastic lids and a glass jar for the vase. All of which could have been recycled but upcycled instead.
HOLIDAY FRAME
Have a boring old frame and wrapping paper scraps? Reface the frame by rolling pieces of the paper and placing glue on the paper and adhere to the frames. It's easy and a good way to reuse wrapping paper instead of throwing it away.
HALLOWEEN BATS & SPIDERS
There were made from lids, caps, twist ties, piece of plastic(for bat) and mono-filament to hang these Halloween decorations.
